Rent Charges

My contract required giving a 30-day notice. I gave a 30 day notice on the 15th of the month saying I would be out by the 15th of the next month. He wants me to pay for rent from the 15th to the end of the month after I have all ready moved out. Rent from someone else if possible, stay away from White rentals.
